Mena Suvari and Matthew Modine have signed to star in the Lifetime Original Movie “Sex & Lies in Sin City,” the U.S. network said Wednesday.
The movie is based on the book “Murder in Sin City” by Jeff German — inspired by the true story of the death of wealthy Las Vegas casino heir Ted Binion and the ensuing trial of his lover and her con artist boyfriend.
The film is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime in September.
“Much like a trip to Vegas, this movie is a guilty pleasure,” Tanya Lopez, senior vice president of Original Movies for Lifetime Networks, said in a statement. “Ripped from the headlines, ‘Sex & Lies in Sin City’ captures all of the true crime story elements and the madness that surrounded Ted Binion’s life.

I have capped the American Pie DVD special called ‘American Pie: Revealed‘ which came out in 2004. The DVD has over 3 hours of interviews, outtakes, trivia, deleted scenes [there was a whole story line taken from American Pie 2 about Heather & Oz!!!] etc from all 3 pie films. Very cool to watch if your a fan of the American Pie films. I’ve made some clips too from the DVD but they will be added later (with the rest of the Mena videos we have!) as we are looking into starting out own kind of “Mena-Tube” - a streaming archive of 100’s of Mena clips - anyway that is to come. I’ve added screencaps from the DVD of Brooklyn Rules (which is now out in Australia) - I love the big hair on Mena! Hehe! Also I’ve added 4 new event gallery’s for the month of March - Mena’s been busy in LA. Shes has attended the CSMC Women’s Guild which honored Donna Karan, a Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation’s event called “Sparkling Sundae“, she went with her man to a Lakers vs Raptors basketball game and was spotted on Day 4 at LA Fashion Week - she was front row to view Jenny Han’s Fall 2008 collection. There you can see her new lower back tattoo (word.sound.power) and if you look closely you can see her one on her breast plate/upper abs. Enjoy!
