Filming of the pilot series “Orpheus” begins in Hope [Canada] next week. The plot line follows the story of a young man who falls in love with a girl who draws him into a modern day cult. The pilot stars Nicholas D’Agosto who appeared in Supernatural, Mena Suvari, (American Beauty), Fairuza Balk, (Almost Famous), and Eion Bailey, (ER and Without a Trace).
Crews will be filming a series of shots throughout Hope on March 14 - 16, reports Jina Johnson, assistant locations manager. The crew’s 12 trucks will begin arriving in the community earlier in the week. According to the district hall, residents can expect intermittent traffic control and no parking areas along Wallace as filming first begins in Memorial Park. A second location for the crew will be in the 700 block of Fourth avenue, as the crews film exterior shots of an apartment building and nearby home. Other shooting locations include the interior and exterior of Darrell’s Cafe in the 200 block of Wallace Street and the exterior of Cheyenne Sports in the 200 block of Wallace Street.
Movie cars will line the street and intermittent traffic control will be in place. Later on in the week the filming will continue at the Coquihalla Bridge on Kawkawa Lake Road, at the Sucker Creek Marsh on Union Bar Road, and at a farmer’s field along Flood-Hope Road.
