Mena has a new film on the way! She will be co-starring in 2010′s “You May Not Kiss The Bride” directed by Rob Hedden. The film also stars Vinnie Jones, Rob Schneider, Katharine McPhee, Tia Carrere and Dave Annable. It is a comedy about a mobster who tries to arrange his daughter to obtain U.S. citizenship by setting her up with an American photographer. Mena will play Tonya. It was filmed in Hawaii back in March/April. I’ve added a few pics from the set of the film to the gallery – notice the ones where Mena has her back to the camera – they have hid her tattoos!

More and more I think Stuck was a breakthrough performance for Mena, both as executive producer and as actor. She seems to be cooler than ever now! Now you report this new film, for next summer, with Rob Schneider and Vinnie Jones, but I have not seen any reports here about Naked Dawn, another film featuring both those actors with Mena, also apparently shot in Hawaii, trailer is at http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/77caf038b8/naked-dawn. It looks like a ridiculous comedy and Mena is having a great time as the Russian villain. Did you miss this one? Also, Mena has executive produced a reggae compilation called The Future Sound of Reggae (http://blog.napster.com/napster/2009/06/q-a-with-mena-suvari.html). So she is very busy and doing a lot of different things. (I even have a DVD of an interview with Mena about how much she loves reggae, excerpted from an as-yet unreleased documentary on the music scene.)
But to be honest, the only thing that has gotten me a bit concerned about Mena has to do with the mentioned tattoos (and the pierced navel, which she didn’t have when she was 20). You note how they have covered the tats up for your images here, but it does seem to be a bit of rebellion on her part — rebellion of her own presence as film actor. Of course she’s free to do what she wants, but it seems a mite strange to me. She has apparently most recently added a number “13″ on her chest, in what looks almost like a prison tat! It’s either a gang reference or it refers to marijuana. Is this something she picked up from Simone? Plus she’s been photographed lately wearing a lot of bling. Is the American beauty becoming a gang moll? Just kidding, but it does make me wonder.

April, what the heck is the problem? I did reply to this story, sending you links to (1) a trailer for a film, Naked Dawn, starring Mena that you seemed to know nothing about, and (2) an article about Mena executive producing a reggae series on CD. I also made a comment about her tatoos. I was friendly, made relevant comments, and you havenn’t posted my words. Why not? This is the second time I have written something and the second time you’ve ignored me. What is your problem? Do you NOT want replies, or do you only want to hear from people who just say “Mena is hot.” Obviously I’m, not going to bother wruiting anymore, even though I am a big fan, if you’re going to ignore me. Or will I get the courtesy of a reply? I thought this site was for Mena fans.
