Mena has flew out to New York to support friend, Christian Siriano for New York Fashion Week and looked stunning at the showing wearing head-to-toe Siriano.

Suvari told E! News she loved the collection and flew in just for the day to see the show. The newlywed had to get back to her husband, music producer Simone Sestito, whom she married last June in Italy. “Married life is wonderful, being together is the best part,” she told us. Suvari also mentioned she’s next working on a movie with Amy Smart called Shopping for Boys in which they play two best friends looking for love.
Ohh! Can’t wait to hear a bit more about ‘Shopping For Boys‘ – sounds interesting! I wonder what shows we will also see her at?

Of all the things a celebrity wants to hear from a photographer, we imagine that “Come over here, we promise we won’t hurt you” — delivered in a tone last heard from one of the major players from Hansel and Gretel — is toward the bottom of the list (right next to “Woohoo, you forgot your underwear!”). We suspect that’s why, when one of the photographers at Christian Siriano on Thursday night said exactly that to Mena Suvari, she simply pretended she didn’t hear anything. Denial: still one of the best ways to handle the unpleasant.
Luckily, being weirdly menaced by a member of the press didn’t seem to faze Mena too much. She made it to her seat unmolested and stayed late to chat cheerfully with a gaggle of reporters about her home projects: “I’m working on sewing classes!” she chirped, confessing that she has used her newfound skills to make pajama pants. “I’m trying to finish my pajama shirt — it’s taken me like two weeks,” she laughed. “I had no idea what I was getting into. This is my first Fashion Week since learning all that, and I’m looking at every little detail on the runway. It’s like, ‘Oh, that’s pretty,’ but you have no idea how much goes into making something like that.” She did seem to be studying the show closely — and it was a show, being as it came complete with several falls from models walking in too-tall shoes, including one that brought the poor girl to her hands and knees. Afterward, we overheard Mena telling someone that she was “dying to walk the runway,” which shows a certain bravery after seeing the bloodbath that this one was.
