Film festival chiefs today promised one of the strongest ever selections of home-grown movies would grace this year’s cinematic extravaganza in the Capital.

Colin Firth, Mena Suvari, Peter Mullan, Kevin McKidd, Rupert Everett, Beatrice Dalle and Emily Mortimer are among the stars whose new work in British films will be showcased in the city next month.

Their films will line up alongside international premieres featuring Bill Murray, Steve Buscemi, Christian Bale, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Monica Bellucci and Macaulay Culkin.

The Edinburgh International Film Festival will also play host to an exclusive lecture from acclaimed director Ken Loach, whose new movie Ae Fond Kiss will receive a gala premiere at next month’s event. ‘Trauma’ Release Pushed Back

According to the Internet Movie Database - Trauma’s UK release date has been pushed back 6 months to August 27th 2004. Yet to hear of a reason why it has been pushed back - or its it’s 100% true. Myrid Pictures has no release date on there site.
