Mena along with Mandy Moore and Jamie Kennedy will be hosting the Vanity Fair ‘In Concert’ to Benefit Step Up Women’s Network (presented by DKNY ). The event will happen on Novemeber 15 and tickets (ranging between 29.50 and 39.50) can be bought though ticket master. The event will be attended by celebrities and V.I.P.s from the entertainment, fashion, and music industries to support Step Up Women’s Network. The Vanity Fair “In Concert” program combines music, charity, and celebrity, and aligns marketing partners with the cutting edge of the music-entertainment world.

Step Up Women’s Network is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to strengthening community resources for women and girls. Through hands-on community service, mentoring, and fund-raising for women’s health and critical issues, Step Up educates and activates its membership to ensure that women and girls have the tools they need to create a better future. Vouge UK reports that Fashion legend, Giorgio Armani has named Mena as one of his ‘Hollywood Favorites’ along with Julia Roberts and Michelle Phieffer. Armani, 69, has said on the eve of the Royal Academy of Arts exhibition dedicated to his 30-year career, “There are also some younger actresses today like Mena Suvari. She is beautiful and the way she moves is so sensual.”

Mena along with about 30 other celebritys (such as Jennifer Capriati and Kelly Ripa) will deisgn a kitchen apron for the Bertolli.Com – Aprons with Attitude & proceeds will go to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Mena will be designing her apron with the thoughts of “own words of wisdom highlighting a favorite hobby, pastime, occupation or way of thinking”, which are then embroidered on the unique aprons. These collections of celebrity aprons will be called ‘Aprons with Attitude’. They are currently in the process of designing them now.

When they are done they will then be taken directly to the bidding area on eBay, The World’s Online Marketplace®. The Bertolli “Aprons with Attitude” online charity auction will take place from Monday, November 3rd (12:00 a.m. EST) through Thursday, November 13th (11:59 p.m. EST), just in time for the holiday gift-giving season. Newly founded ‘INSOMNIA Entertainment’, a Las Vegas-based independent development, production and financing shingle for feature film and television projects has announced it’s first film is “Standing Still,” which is being describedas a “Big Chill” for the Gen Y set. The film revolves around a group of friends who reconnect at a wedding several years after graduating from college. James Van Der Beek, Mena Suvari, Estella Warren, Amy Adams, and Jon Abrahams are set to star in the film to be directed by Matthew Cole Weiss. Matt Perniciaro and Tim Sharp, an actor who starred in Fox’s sitcom “Undeclared,” wrote the screenplay. The film will be produced by INSOMNIA’s Trent Othick, Jeff Rice and Perniciaro, while Tom Breitling and Gary Michael Walters will serve as the film’s executive producers.
According to The Z Review filming starts next month and it has a budget of $12 million (USD) This may be out of date news since it was posted back in August and has no mention of Mena

TeenHollywood.Com has reported that Mena has attended a fashion show at the LA home of Goldie Hawn – put on by daughter, Kate Hudson last Tuesday. The show raised money for two children’s charities, The Children’s Action Network and The Westside Children’s Center. The fundraiser, held each year in a celebrity’s home and co-hosted by Kate Capshawk, Rita Wilson and In Style magazine and a clothing designer, drew such other stars as Kristin Davis, Geena Davis, Camryn Manheim, Sheryl Crow and Kim Delaney.

The label of choice this year was Chanel, which put on its first ever Haute Couture fashion show held in America. The event expected to raise $100,000 (US). USA Today and the Arizona Republic also have articles on the event.
